Bubbles.....

It has been cold here. Cold and wet and windy. I'm not complaining. I rather enjoy the heat of the wood stove that warms our home and the stormy weather is always a better show to watch than anything on TV. Still, if you look at the photos, my dreamlets are barefoot. It was about 10 Celsius the day this was taken. They are so funny, the dress up "warm", even wearing coats and hats but their feet are always bare.....
gotta love that.
So it was cold, no major snow storms or heavy rains as in other parts of the world. The dreamlets went out to all the rentals and gathered all the dish soap left and made "bubble juice", then they went into the storage area and found wire and bent it into a lollipop shape...... I was sitting here at the computer when suddenly the sky filled with bubbles. It was magical......

Chrysanthemum & Lotus

Last month my dreamlets brought flowers to their grandmother. She placed the flowers in a vase she made herself (she is a wonderful ceramist) and placed them on her kitchen window sill. I had bought l these lotus fruits figuring that if I didn't like them I can always paint them... or both! Well, honestly, I didn't like the taste, but I loved the colors... and I loved how they played off my mother's vase and the chrysanthemums. It was a joy to paint.
